it was not a dd. but we did run it on the street for a few years. and low rpm trq is not a problem when you run a th400 with 4k stall.

From the sound it looks like you kept the 306!

I love mine. Yeah it sucks commuting with it, but idle sounds sick and power up top is awesome. People want to race or see a burnout at every stoplight because of the lope.

Good job

I need mine tuned too. Let me know how you make out; my tune was done in the 1990's and I think it sucks time for a do-over.

Yeah i said the hell with the 503 sent it back to summit when it arrived, I know my longblock will hold up to the cc306 because it was built "RIGHT" haha to the haters. I love commuting with it i dont live in yankee city we got long roads gods country, loud is not a problem here. Will be sending the pcm to soloman for pretune, and 3000 mi car will be dynotuned to perfection.

Oh yeah! once I get going I love it. I just hate stop n go. loud chuggy and stinky. But anything over 2000 RPM cruising is pure heaven! 6th at 70mph sounds good to me!

I can send you by .bin if you want. Modern Musclecar did mine way back when but warning - it might be a hack job. The more I read about tunes the more I am afraid. I have a local LT1 guy that's going to help me out with the driveability.

For example, my "idle" is 1500rpm unless vehicle speed is 0. Then it's 1000 rpm. what's upwith that? LOL.

Good luck! I would be interested in comparing your tune to mine.

I ended up finishing mine. It's on a mail order tune right now and I am just curious, did you dyno it yet? Numbers? I'm working on date right now with Kaltech to get mine dyno tuned. The magic number is 400 (at least that's what I was hoping for). 12 and change at the track would be nice too.

400 at the tire should be easy 11.s in an f-body unless at high altitude.

Awesome lt1/t56! U got it together. That a lot of hard work and i have to say congrats.

U survived the heckling clowns and all their "advice" too. Well we have several here that will give u a truck load of criticism with little actual advice. I seems they just enjoy bashing others more than helping them. And then theres plenty of bandwagon wannabees that try to suck up to them too.

Would i run a cc306? Only if i had the compression and gearing to support it. But u can upgrade gears anytime.

Have fun with your car now, u earned it,
cardo

Nice!!! now that's respectable!!!!!! Someone who knows how to go fast! Sometimes ya gotta sacrifice low rpm performance to get out of the 11 and 12 second club!!!!
