Custom A/C Delete Plate. I retained factory heat with this, but deleted all A/C components. Cost me less than $100 to make.

Looks pretty damn good so far. What damper are you using? Fluidampr or ATI?

Ah, missed that. Are you going with the Trickflow heads?

I haven't 100% decided yet. I am starting to lean towards them but I am still in the air between TEA 220cc TrickFlows, A.I. 215cc TrickFlows, or taking a set of Dart Pro 1 Heads and sending them to a good porter...I have a week to do my research and decide before I get my money and am ready to make a purchase.

The way it looks right now, the TEA 220cc Heads will only go down to a 61cc Chamber and won't go to a 58cc, so that leaves my compression ratio lower than where I wanted it, so I am talking to them but if they won't take it to a 58cc, I might have to rule them out....plus, I noticed that the TEA 220's have a 66cc Exhaust Runner but the A.I. 215's have a 78cc Exhaust Runner...?

The Darts are starting to look VERY expensive and although I would like to go down a path that is rarely traveled, I may have to pass this time and save it for another build. I don't think I can afford that cost and still get the car rolling this summer.

So, if TEA is not able to work with me then A.I. it is lol.

Wherever it falls honestly. I am more concerned about hitting a good time. I want to be high to mid 11's at Bandimere Speedway (5800ft). I would LIKE to be above 450 RWHP, but if I don't but still run my times, then so be it...

It's all looking good, remember the heads and cam combo are really the most important (as I know you know and have already heard a million times) so even if it sets you back 6 months , buy what you want to go with and don't compromise.

Looking good so far! Where did you get the crank? I thought Compstar stopped making 1pc rear seal cranks?

WS SICK, I hear you, and thanks man. I just want my car back and I love working on it, so this will give me a project for next winter haha. Plus, I will be able to do a direct head swap and test them out in direct comparison with the AI Heads or whoever I go with.

ACHotrod, I got the crank about 7 months ago from a guy who was parting out his build. He wrecked his car shortly after he built it. It has less than 1K miles on it, everything looked great and checked out at the machine shop...all they had to do was lightly polish the journals. I got it for $300.

Just got a response from TEA. They will go to 58cc for an additional $125. They will also go up to a 2.08 valve for free instead of the 2.055. Their shipping is about $55 and they said their wait time is about 2-3 weeks plus 4 days shipping.

Also, their exhaust runner number was a typo on their site. They said they are closer to 75cc. So, with that said, my TOTAL COST for a set of TEA Heads will be $2,180.00 vs the $2650.00 from A.I.

Specs of the TEA Heads will be as follows:

TEA TrickFlow Heads
220cc Intake Runners
75cc Exhaust Runners
58cc Chambers
2.08 Intake/1.60 Exhaust Valves

Great, I'm glad o hear they would work with you, did they mention if decking the heads were enought to make the intake in need of trueing up the fit the heads correctly? Also this will make you need to double check your pushrod length.

I was already going to check the PR length, which is why I list them as "length TBD" lol.

As for the intake manifold, I have already had it modified to 205cc, but when I get the heads, I am going to take them to a machine shop with my intake and have them matched up. They said they can set up the heads for either an LT1 or an LT4 intake by request but you will still need to do some work to the manifold itself.
