Thumbs up 396ci LT1 - Dyno Videos and Graph

Well, we had a mad thrash to get the car ready for the dyno, and even had to push my slot back an hour just to get some final tweaks made. As you can see, we didn't have a chance to get the front end back together yet.

Quick overview of the setup:

-396ci LT1 - AI 200cc heads, AI ported LT1 intake manifold, 25X26X .6XX lift on a 106*
-TH400 trans, 5400 stall 8" converter, mechanical diode
-9" rear, 35 spline axles, 4.56 gears, 28" tall M/T ET Street Radials
-We started off running to 7,000 RPM, but ended up bumping the rev limiter to 7,200 because she just kept wanting more

Factoring in the drivetrain loss with the huge converter and TH400, I'm very happy with the numbers. It puts us close to the 600HP flywheel number we were looking for. Remember, this car is set up for the 1/4 mile, and should be a killer performer on the strip.

The car ran insanely consistent and impressed all in attendance. Bryan Herter was great to work with and has high expectations for this setup as well! Can't wait for track day!

We made 4 runs. I only uploaded the video of run #4 below, but can upload more upon request.

We expect mid-low 10s once we get the suspension dialed in. She came in at just over 3,200 lbs without me. Should be 3,400 lbs or so, with driver.

We set the MSD rev limiter at 7200. Can't get any more out of the LT1 PCM...she's maxed, as planned!

Added more info to the OP. It's an LT1 intake manifold ported by AI.
