Default Bolt-on LT1 Dyno

Took my camaro for its first dyno run today. Pleased with the numbers. I'm thinking a leaky waterpump hose is getting on the opti, and created the 4500 dip. It wasn't pulling timing from knock so I'm still wondering what that 4500 mark is from.

Also who the hell still tunes LT1s? I'm pretty sure pcm4less still does mail order tunes, but I'm looking for an actual dyno tune. Close to Charlotte, or Louisville?

Does this seem decently rich? Is 300-310 possible by leaning it out a tad?

The track times will tell. A 300 rwhp F body should run mid 12's.

Does Carolina Auto Masters, still tune LTx cars? Are they even still in business?

John at Six Sigma Dyno Services in Concord does them; he tuned my cam only setup, I'll be going back soon for my new setup.

Numbers are also similar to me. I did 299/335 with lt's/open y-pipe and a cai through an m6 with stock gearing. I trap 104 down here

Looks like your getting some knock retard. And the #'s are STD which are inflated a bit compared to SAE #"s so its really closer to 280-285rwhp.

Wouldn't the a/f show if there was some knock?

I'm getting the car tuned, so hopefully some data logging will tell for sure.

my LT1 was getting massive knock retard in that same area. probably what caused your dip.

get datamaster and a aldl cable and datalog it yourself to find out if theres any knock. i tuned the knock out with tunercats and it was easy.

i ended up with 28* in the 4200-5000rpm range and bumped up to 32* above that to red line.

my afr was set at 12.6.

i had a hypertech tuner that was calling for 36* in that area and it was getting 10-12* pulled. that was with 94 octance gas to.
