How will an LT1 with LT and a jegs universal x pipe with dumps sounds?
I took of my magnaflow y pipe set up and have ordered a universal x pipe from jegs. Yes it is open headers right now...it sucks ***. I will have the x pipe on once it comes in. Will the x pipe after the pacesetters and just dumps be as bad as open headers? Also will I gain my torque back with the x pipe?
Loud and rumbly...lol, just joking, but it will be loud. Some think it sounds really good.

I have a 3" dual x-pipe... and what appear to be dynomax bullets on mine, with turn-downs before the axles; typical dual exhaust setup.
I can't say I much care for it to be honest, and one of the biggest drawbacks (for me) are the exhaust fumes. On a slightly windy day and being downwind, it's really unpleasant, which makes it tough to enjoy the nice weather we've been having here in Texas lately with the windows down.
I like the sound at ~3k rpm on up, but below that, you can almost hear the valves popping closed. Not exactly my cup of tea, so I'm working up a new design that will put the exhaust gasses back out the end of the car.
I have pacesetter LT's with a summit x-pipe and magnaflow straight through mufflers dumped at the axle. It sounds good cruising around town but it is annoying on the highway. I agree with Melkor, the fumes get pretty bad some times.
if your talking about an open x it quiets it down quite a bit suprisingly...still loud though... a nice set of glasspacks after the x makes everything perfect
