Default 14.3:1cr 398ci combo dyno#s pics and New videos added to first post!!

Well I was going to wait till after dyno/track results to share my build thread but got curious as to what you all think of this combo beforehand..
Half filled block .040 over 398ci
Billet 4bolt caps/zero decked
Callie's stealth crank/Callie's billet rods(arp2000 bolts)3.875 stroke 5.850rod
Je nitrous dome pistons 14.3:1cr/hell fire rings gapped for 300shot
Afr 227 comps heads /arp studs/cometic gaskets
Harland sharp 1.5 offset rockers/stud girdles/ 3/8 pushrods
Billet sr n2o cam 26x/27x duration/close to 700 lift on a 108
Morel sr lifters
Edelbrock single plane converted n port matched
Barry grant gold claw carb 1050/zex perimeter plate 250- 300shot
Double roller timing set
7qt milodon oil pan
Tsi th400 stall tba (coan 10in 4000 current)
Car is an 86 Buick regal 3250 race weight
Motor hits engine dyno monday so I will post vid and graph afterwards. What are your thoughts or opinions about combo/power estimates/1/4times etc?

****Dyno results**** Motor made 667 horse at 6900rpm over 580ft lbs of torque at 5000rpm!! The runs were made with 112 octane at 36degrees timing. There is more on the table with some jet changes, more aggressive timing with 116 and also a carb spacer.I feel like 675 or so after a few changes!! Pics of graph and engine in link below...

Heads are a little small imo. I would look into the afr235 or similar.

Well my initial head choice were the brodix sbc head hunter oval port, wanted to be different but there techs convinced my builder they were to big for a 4.040 bore so killed that idea.My car has been down to long now so I will run the 227s this year and look to upgrade over winter...thx for the feedback!!

Are the 227s out of the box?

That combo would benefit from some hand porting, but it wont be cheap. If you plan on swapping heads anyway then might as well run them as-is and sell em when you're ready to switch...

What are you using for engine management? Is this a carb set up? stock Lt1 or aftermarket ecu? Stock ecu can otherwise limit the overall potential of your solid roller combo.

Yes out the box comp ports..I'm not going to touch them at this point so I can sell them over the winter untouched. If it wasn't for a time factor I would sell them now but it would slow down my build.thx for replies

In your opinion what would be the gain/benefit in going from the 227s to the 235s? I may be able to do upgrade right away if AFR has the 235s in stock..

what kind of ignition ? sounds like a decent build and not one you would expect being in a buick. I like it.

Sounds like a fancy list of expensive parts without much preparation.

How so? Seems like a solid build all around to me, just not your typical High School Student daily driver. His car has always been an aggressive build, he just isn't a big poster.

I think the 227s will do better then he thinks, but he should shoot Tony a PM about the 235s...he is running them out of the box and we all know the results he gets with them .

pics added to original post!! in regards to prepartion ive been working my way up to this build. This car has been low 10s with Ai 190cc heads with 175shot and very poor valve train..Now ive fixed the weak links and am ready to take it as far as i can.The only thing questionable to me now is,not will the 227s work but will they be my last set of heads?? I REALLY wanted to do this once and be done with it.I DIDNT plan on 14.3:1cr but the build kindve went there lol and thats why i question if the 235s wouldve been a better choice..
