Default steam pipe?
can the steam pipe holes in the back of the heads be plugged without any cooling system issues?

If you plug them, any tiny air pockets will likely rest there and the back two cylinder heads will have hot spots. Could be catastrophic over time.

If you need to get a new one you can fab it from some AN fittings.
