Default day at the track coming up.

hey guys, im going to the track for the first time Wednesday, and i have a quick question. i have a 94 formula with stock rearend, 3.23 gears, and stock 4l60e tranny. i do have frame ties and a rear sway bar bar. im making about 400 to 430 hp at the crank. now heres my question, do i go with my 295/75/18 street tires or a set of 17" street slicks? im worried about how my drive train will hold up on the slicks

If you run street tires then all you will have to worry about is your 60 foot times.

I hope that's a typo with the 75 series tire. But I would go with at least drag radials. Street tires are just going to kill your 60ft and lower your times. Go big and if it breaks its upgrade time.

sorry it was lol. i meant 35 not 75
the only reason im hesitant to "go big" is id hate to blow something out my first time out lol. but you make a good point if it breaks it'll just give me an excuse to upgrade
