Put your socket and rachet on it then find a good sturdy bar of some kind and put it on the handle of the rachet (the longer the bar, the better) and push or pull like hell.

If they break loose and then tighten up spray some penetrant oil on the plugs and let it soak in. Work them back and forth and they should come out. If they won't break loose get something with more leverage.

A long Breaker bar will save some bloody knuckles LoL longest one you can find Tool trucks have ratchets that are as long as breaker bars Use some PB Blaster to help work em loose Good Luck OH use some anti-seize on the new plugs!!!!

I'd be more worried that the threads will come out of the head with the plug. Try some PB Blaster.

I'd use excessive force as a last resort only, try everything else first.

Try removing it with the engine hot. Aluminum expands more than steel with heat, so a hot head should loosen it up a bit. You could even spray the plug with some freeze spray. Maybe find a pipe the right size to set on the metal body only and rap it with a hammer. Let CRC or Kroil penetrant etc soak in for a day.

Something to watch out for: If you accidentally run plugs that are longer than the head is thick (never do this on purpose), the threads that stick into the chamber will tend to get fouled and be hard to remove.

Shoot some penetrating oil on the plugs then warm the car up a bit by running it, then try wrenching on them. They should come out.

You should be able to get it with wrapping your arm in a shop towel. If you aren't able to do so, they sell burn sleeves that you could use. Small price compared to messing up the head. Either way, I'd say do this and use brute force as a last resort. I'm positive it'll break loose with a cheater bar.

Try tightening them first. Then loosen it.
