Do I have OBDI or II
Hi all,
Sorry if this is a dumb question but I have a 1995 trans am. Normally it would be OBDI but supposedly the motor was swapped out for a 1996 along with the pcm. MY question is how would I tell if the car is OBDI or II? Thanks

A 95 car is OBD1 but I know at least some of them came with OBD2 connectors under the dash.
Honestly I would probably pull the pcm and look at the sticker for the "service number".
If the car came V6 and had a 96 LT1 swapped in or if the harness in the car burned when the 95 engine let go are about the only reasons I could see to consider putting a 96 pcm into a 95 car. Swapping the pcm JUST because the engine was a year newer would be a BIG expression of stupidity and make me worry a LOT about what else the idiot might have done.
