Default more issues with my car....

Well I just got done putting new motor mounts in my car today went out to see how the old girl felt, well she ran awesome! So I'm pulling into my neighborhood when she just up and died with out any warning just cut out. I managed to park it down the street from my house tryed to start it and nothing just turned over and over. I thought it might be outta gas so ran to the gas station and put a few buck in the tank, fired up for about 30 seconds a big cloud of smoke came out from behind her. Then she died again and would only crank so I had to tow her home. I'm not sure what it could but I have a feeling my luck with the car it will start in the morning then leave me stranded on the side of the road..... also the car has a new fuel pump and filter, plugs and wires and an accel opti but I have a new GM one that I was planning on putting in a few weeks.

That Accel Opti is prolly the culprit!!! Better get your testers out & check the Opti, ICM & coil

ICM Coil or the Opti. Mine did that when the ICM was hot. I had a MSD coil die on me and the car wouldn't start. The opti can make it hard to start and if the rotor loosens up it can really make it run bad.

did you ever fix the other issues I told you to?

Aside from that, accel optisparks are probably the WORST you can use. Recently had to replace another friends that dies after about 500 miles, put in the old stock unit w/ 170K on it and it works fine.

If your ICM goes bad sometimes it'll take the coil out too, good to replace both of them
