Default 4.3 L99 baby Lt1

I just traded my Grizzly for a 96 Camaro z28 that has the 4.3 v8 in it. Yes I know it should be a 5.7.... The 5.7 threw a rod and my cousin bought what was supposed to be an Lt1 from the local salvage yard, but, it was a 4.3 instead. He only found out it wasn't after replacing head gaskets.

Anyways I don't mind it being a small motor but the Z has 411 rear posi that I don't want... I'd rather just have a cruise geared rear... like the 342... Anyone want to trade? lol.

I have a 5.7 LT1 block I can get for 75 buckaroo's and I'm thinking of just putting crank and rods to the 5.7 pistons and making it a 302 later.
Do I have to order special pistons for those rods or would they fit?
It also has a stall in the tranny; don't know what size yet but I'll probably sell it and get an lt4 hot cam or a shelf grind cam.. It also has an obd2 ecm... Can that be tuned with HP tuners? I don't think it can but I really don't know..

Anyone have any suggestion or recommendations, I don't see me working on this project for a while (besides putting a factory rear back on)?
Another ?? With the smaller bore, it would seem that this block would be a good candidate for boost?

Do the 302, I would love to see someone actually go through with it, would be pretty cool to have a 4th gen 302 Z28.

You will need to order new pistons or new rods to make it work though, if you just put normal rods and pistons in it, your pistons would be 0.5" too low in the hole with the 3.0 stroke.

I don't plan on making a rocket out of it since I'm currently investing my extra funds into my 79 T/A 6.0 turbo car.. Just figured that I could get the 5.7 motor for 100 bucks, heads and all. Its whatever I could do cheaper, like use the 4.3 rods and buy 5.7 pistons or 5.7 pistons and longer rods.
Hell I may just sell the car or trade it for a truck I don't know yet. Just looking at options.

It's been done.
The L99's crank and (longer) rods work with the LT1 pistons and block.

No torque you will want to keep the 4.10 gears, trust me.
