Proper PCM relearn proceedure:
SO, We all know that the PCM re-learns its mapping/timing to some extent after a reset (like pulling the pcm fuse or the battery) But I didnt know if there was a proper way to go about the re-learn. All the info I searched around the net said after "a while" it would re-learn some thing and driveability would get better.
I found THIS:

The last couple of pages detail a PCM relearn sequence that really helped me out today. Long story short, I had to borrow the battery out of my 383 Camaro to put in my Wife's pontiac to get it home, so of course, after putting my battery back into its home the car ran like ***. On cold start, it WOULD NOT REV without breaking up severely. It also smoked (black, rich) pretty good once warmed up and under heavy load. At a stop light, the car didnt want to idle very well, and at first stop the RPMs would drop pretty low before it recovered.
I used the procedure above, and every single drive-ability issue I was having went away. The car runs just like it did before the battery was pulled.
Just thought I'd share.
