Default Lt1 needs gas to start

My 94 Lt1 seems to not be getting enough fuel when i go to start it, i have to pump the gas and hold it to the floor for it to crank. could this be the o2 sensors? Fuel regulator?

Could be reg, do u smell fuel in reg line? Do u hear pump priming when turned on? Check fuel pressure. Could be weak ignition as well.

Maybe the low resolution signal wire? mine was bad and the car would start but die in a couple seconds, could only keep it running by giving it throttle. Found the problem by chance the wire had an internal break.

also what ur describing is a very common issue ive seen multiple times..........the check valves in the pump fail and the systems dont hold fuel pressure......they crank and crank before starting.....i bet if you cycle the key a couple times then start it it will fire fine....

Starts fine cold and requires you to floor it (flood clear) when hot. Sounds like a bad coolant temp. sensor (the one in the water pump).

Check the pressure. I see a fuel pump swap in your future! Really easy with the trap door mod! I can swap one in 22 mins start to finish. Had to do it a month back on the side of the road. Wasn't the problem...MSD 6al was randomly shutting down on me. Not the first time with the MSD, but it will be the last time i ever use one now. Stock setup will have to do!
