LT1 no spark
95 camaro v8 LT1.
LT1 ran for 8 months with no issues. until last week.
8 months ago that i replaced the opti it had no spark and ran fine for 8 months.
now it starts up sometimes. last week it stalled out. so now im checking for spark and no spark either, but the problem is i dont get spark and car still turns over and runs.
i get 42psi on fuel pressure. like i said opti is 8 months old. i tested around 4 spark plug wires and no spark. the thing i dont understand is i get no spark and engine turns over and starts.

did a test on the spark plug wire that goes to the ignition coil to the optispark and i got spark on that wire. the wire end is the one that connects to the optispark from the coil.
Heres a video. hopefully im not confused.

I do get spark from the Ignition Coil.
From my undestanding. 1st the PCM gets the signal. then PCM to Optispark, then opti to ICM, then ICM to Coil, then to optispark again.
The wire that goes to the ignition coil to the optispark. the end of the cable to the optispark does get spark.

I could be wrong I'm just going off personal experience. You can take it off and have AZ do a test on it. Ii bought mine from them cause even though its an electrical part you get a life time warranty.

well, im sure alot will say. why does everyone always assume its the optispark lol.
i went ahead and took the optispark out. world record for me. took me 1 hr 30 minutes to take everything out to optispark. im going to go ahead and change oil pan and timing cover gaskets. i feel so accomplished . hopefully i come to find out that the timing chain is a bit loose and that should the main issue.
