Question fuel pump went out; which brand to buy?

I replaced my stock fuel pump that went bad two winters ago. I put in a Bosch. The Bosch is completely dead. Any knowledge/opinions on these fuel pumps? Also which brand should I purchase for the replacement? Thanks

why do fuel pumps dying seem to be a problem on these cars so often? Is there a factory voltage defect or something leading to the fuel pump failure?

They don't last as long because people replace them with crappy pumps. Bosch pumps suck. Be glad yours lasted 2 years; mine lasted 2 weeks. Airtex is garbage also. I'd go with one of the ones mentioned above or a Delco/Delphi.

Either that or people do away with the fuel bucket since the inlet on most aftermarket pumps is not offset like the stock one, so the pump overheats repeatedly when the fuel level becomes low enough to not cool the pump which causes inevitable failure.

I have this setup but I don't know if it's overkill for you since you just have bolt on's.
