Default Fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump?

Hey guys i know i've been having a fuel problem for a while finally getting around to working on it went and rented a pressure gauge from autozone and put it on, heres the results...

prim key get no pressure, prime key again get like 10-15 instant drop after, if i keep going it keeps building pressure up to about 30ish psi then instantly drops... Go for a start crank crank crank starts psi is around 38ish... pretty low compared to the 43.5 psi its suppose to be, unplug the vaccuum line on the fpr and still around same psi no change... went for a drive and it drives at about 35-38ish psi until i step on it psi drops to about 30 and then my low rpm misfires start to occur.... fuel pump was installed in april its had these problems but i've been really busy moving across country to worry about it until now....

Might be a bad pump, bad regulator, or a hole in the fuel line inside the tank. Many times the flexible line is cracked and you don't see it.

all the lines in the tank are new, but yeah from what i was reading it could be either, just don't want to throw parts at it...

Just because a line is new doesn't mean it can't be broken or leaking. Should be easy enough to check if you cut the trap door for the fuel pump.

could a cracked line cause high rpm misses occasionally as well as low rpm? misses almost constantly below 1500rpm foot to floor or giving into throttle at all.

also i forgot to mention that my regulator line does smell like fuel, the car runs extremley rich at idle, enough to were your standing there and your eyes burn... and when i unplugged the line today after it was running the fpr hissed at me, vehicle not running so it wasn't the line onnected to the intake haha

If your smelling fuel in the vacuum line leading to the intake then more than likely fuel is bypassing them membrane in the fpr.. I'd change it

im just going to replace both, the pump thats in there im not confident about it was a need something right now kind of thing, probably just going to order pump and regulator because i do smell fuel in the line, and see how it runs, it got a lot worse today throttle conditions netted me as low as 15 psi... dohhh!
