Default New Unexpected Personal Best

Installed a new Eaton posi and went to track today to work on launch. Knowing the trans is on it's way out, injectors are too small, and a few other bugs to work out I managed to pull off an 11.3 with a 2550 DA. Trans was slipping so bad up high I had to turn the 2-3 shift point down to 5300 so it would shift by the time it hit 6700 RPM's. I'm thinking once I have a healthy transmission, more tuning, bigger injectors, and a lower DA I should be on the edge of 10.9. I ran three 11.4's and was wondering why tech wasn't kicking me out, but when the 11.3 showed up luck ran out and was told to go see them for my warning.

Oh yeah, BBC crew was there too filming for a series that's going to be broadcast on History channel.

I think helmet, suit, and driveshaft loop. You can google NHRA requirements.

I don't all yet but, roll bar, light jacket, DS loop, SFI flywheel, trans shield...

You're right! I think though that if I just saw my car on TV it would just be pretty cool.

Actually the 60 ft times were a little disappointing. Best was a 1.54, about the same as the old engine. Cam is 242/248 110 LSA.

Pretty solid, given the weight and DA that car is moving out pretty good.

I have the flywheel already installed, saw that coming when I did the new build and didn't want to have to put it in afterwards. I have the roll bar too and will install over the winter, so need to get jacket and harness. Since I only tnt the car don't think they give me a hard time about trans shield.

I would love to but I'm doing the 4l80e thing this winter so I don't want to bother, but I am going to go to Lebanon Valley next Sat for one last try. I'm just waiting, one of these runs it's just not going to shift anymore.

Cage, sfi jacket, helmet with snell 2005 or better, plus a lot of stuff you need when you run 12's like a driveshaft loop, longer wheel studs, etc, etc. The cage is the biggie though.
