95 lt1 making LOUD screech noise and trouble going into gear.. Ok, so last night me and a few buddies were out cruising and I noticed that from a stoplight take off... An lt1 was making a crazy loud noise, and we pulled over. At first, the noise only happened when the clutch was pressed in, he was still able to get it into gear at this time.
We left to head home and about 10 miles down the road, we went to turn but he pulled over on the highway... His car would not go into any gear other than first, and the car was making the same noise... But twice as loud, even when the clutch was not pressed.
He shut the car off... Restarted it, it had trouble turning over, but did start and noise was still there.
He said the clutch itself HAS pressure, it's not stuck to the floor.
Has anyone had a problem like this before?
Any help would be great!
