lt1 swap problems. oil pressure
backround,my car was a 3.8 a4 and i swapped in a cam and le2 lt1 that i rebuilt along with a rebuilt t56.
-problems
oil pressure guage doesnt budge when turning the motor over.
pulled the plug above the oil filter then cranked it and it pissed out oil. Havent put the test gauge on the fitting for the sensor yet. we figured wed start it for about 5 seconds then kill it if it didnt show anything. 5 seconds go by and no oil pressure. then tried once more just to see and the car just cranks no fire. plugs look fine and cranked without the injectors plugged in to see if it was flooded. still wont fire
-the ground strap that goes from the block to the driver side frame rail gets way hot everytime we crank the engine.
have a fuel pressure gauge and oil pressure gauge but where do i hook up both. and any other suggestions? thanks for your time

I believe they did prime it and they also cranked it for around 15-20 sec. before initial start but he also told me after removing the sending unit behind the intake it did shoot oil out. The sending unit is a cheap replacement from a parts store but he will be putting a mech gauge on it till the car is ready to take for a drive and hopefully by then we will have it all figured out.
