Default will 94 lt1 work with 95 wiring harness?

i have a 95 z28 with an lt1 i spun a bearing and want to swap an lt1 out of a 95 trans am. will my 95 wiring harness work?

i think it should, its still OBD1 and the connectors should all be the same.

x2 it should have all the same OBDI connectors. I think the only differnece was the 95' had the 16pin OBD2 connector but still ran OBDI everything else.

Safe to assume that you meant to say the donor is a 94 TA?
I believe the opti extension harness is different.
Honestly though I would swap the 95 opti/timing cover onto the 94 engine. I am not sure if the 93 upper timing gear fits with the vented opti, if it doesn't go ahead and swap that too. Not that big a deal and gives you a chance to change all the timing cover seals.

the cam is different too so you also want to swap that.

if you are desparate to just get it running buy a opti harness off ebay.

Good point on the cam.

If you don't want to go into the motor then you could just adapt the opti harness, consider an MSD cap and rotor kit to add a vent to the 94 opti.

thanks the engine i would get would have a 94 wiring harness but i would swap optis and maybe put an lt4 hot cam kit in.

Use the 95 coil and get the opti pigtail, the rest will go right together.
