What a disappointing, colossal waste of money.

Cool car, though.

Ya know, you're right. By today's standards it isn't very impressive at all but in 1996 it was pretty impressive. The car is still one of a kind built by a guy with money to burn. Its a good to have something different to avoid having and same car as the dude down the street though.

It was a big deal back then.
All of us new ImpalaSS owners drooled over stuff like that and the Lingenfelter and Callaway cars.
They were the trailblazers with the deep pockets. Now we run rings around that stuff for a fifth of the cost

I still feel like that thing is more badass than half the crap GM produces now.

It just goes to show what GM "could have" built as the Impala SS.

Yeah like Jay Leno, Tim Allen may also have more $ than brains but he is a "car guy" and the big block SS is one cool car.

I work in entertainment production and was working Peoples Choice awards when Tim drove up to the Red Carpet in it. Home Improvement was a big hit then hince the "Binford 6100" name plate.

just like the Hendrick owned bad *** Impala, this one is cool....but also was very exspensive. Any 'one off" is.

I don't know how any of you could criticize this car, or the money spent to make it. It was pretty damn cool back in 1996 and it still is. What better current production engine did GM have to put in it? Tim had the money... why not?

Third gens should be crushed.

That LT5 Impala is a nice car and was dope back then but by today's standards, it'd be easy to get a 800 HP something or other in there. I'll bet it's real well mannered though.

I agree with those who back Tim Allens decision to do this. He's got plenty of money so why not build something nobody else has? Some people think modding a car is a waste of money, some people think a $200k house is a waste of money. Fact is he has the money and wanted something unique. More power to him.
