Camaro Fog Light Delete/Ram Air Setup
I just ordered an LS1 lid and base and I was planning on setting it up as a ram air setup after I remove the factory fog lights. Has anyone done this on an LT1? I have seen a couple LS1 guys do it, but not too much of us.
I want it to be as light as possible, but my plan is to get some thin aluminum and make a piece that would rivet/bolt onto the fog light opening and have a 3.5" hose going to the base of the lid (1 hose per fog light hole). That way when I'm going 60 mph its basically forcing fresh air into the air box, not sucking warm air in from in front of the radiator like I have now.
My question is has anyone else done this? If so post some pics.

That's where I got the idea. I probably won't start the setup until I get the MWC bumper supports, but I'm just trying to get some ideas right now. Making a piece that goes over the fog light hole is going to be the hardest part, should be a lot easier with the bumper cover on a bench though

I'm not afraid to do some cutting and welding and kind of have a plan to make the lid setup work a different way than what I have seen, but only time will tell.
I may scrap the whole idea and just stand up the rad and build something completely different than what I'm currently planning haha

One more bump.
I got my lid and base last week. I'm going to wait to fit everything until I get my pin-on hood since that will give me a little more wiggle room over the stock Z28 hood.
