Default Need Pan Selection Help!!!!

Ok guys, I need some help. I'm fed up with my Canton leaking and I'm going to pull her again and replace the gasket, but when I do so I'm getting rid of that pan. However, there's a catch, I can't go back to the stock pan. My builder (way back in the day) when building up this stroker decided he wanted to convert my motor to a 2 piece main instead of the stock one piece so I can't use the stock pan again. Does any one know a good pan I can replace the Caton with that will accomodate the two piece rear?

Any help or advise is greatly appreciated!!!!

I've replaced the gasket twice and the rear main seal once and she still leaks. It's even leaked around the drain plug since new and no amount of plug gaskets (copper or any others) or teflon tape can keep it from dripping. I've pretty much had it with the poor seam quality/welding of this pan and the fitment, so I'd like to go another route and see what my options are. If you do some searching I'm not the first one to have a leaking Canton pan as they are pretty notorious for leaking.

I used a Stef's 8 qt pan for the same reason mine kept leaking just like that.
It was exspensive as it was custom built but I do believe they have pans for the stroker motors now.

Far as the 2-piece rear main complication couldn't you just get the other adapter. Pretty sure they offer an adapter for 2piece rear main with 1-piece rear main style pan.

That or how about tearing it apart and fixing the Canton?

A LOT of folks have issues with the Canton pans and not just gen 1 folks from leaks to complete lack of windage control and it does not seem to be completely consistent as a few folks like quik95lt1 got pans that worked as they should.

The Stefs I think everyone has issues with the radius of the front where it should theoretically seal to the timing cover.

I considered an aftermarket pan at one point but couldn't find one for the b-body that had consistently good reviews. I just put a pan baffle and a different windage tray in the stock pan. $30 in parts and fixed the windage issue I had on my slightly uphill sweeping turn onramp I was using for street WOT pulls.

I have had good luck running the Milodon 31501 Pan. Has a better windage tray and scraper built in than stock. I think they are about $175 or so.

Even my Moroso still leaks from the rear. It's a small leak so I have no intentions on doing anything about it unless it gets worse. Brand new felpro gasket too.

As far as sealing the drain plug try this gasket or one like it. This one is from MSC Industrial Supply p/n 65075749 mfg by Parker.

Works on any .500 drain plug.
