X pipe crossover and reducers.

X pipe crossover and reducers. Ok guys i was really wanting to do a custom y set up with a flowmaster merge but since i can seem to part ways with my duals im just gonna redo them.
Ok so i have 2 questions im gonna add a x pipe crossover and found these on ebay probably just gonna weld it into my current duals. Just wondering what everyones opinions are on it i dont feel like ordering the entire kit from summit since i already have my duals.

And since last time i made the stupid decision to weld them to the headers this time i wanna do a slip fit style connection like how a y pipe would be and was wondering if i welded these on to the end of the duals if they would work and use band clamps or if anyone has anything better lemme know.
