Default Fuel Oil Dilution Problem

Finally got my car up and running, Ive put about 500 miles on the new engine.

Im having a problem with fuel oil dilution, the most recent test I did put it around 5%. I am trying to avoid running the engine until I figure out what is causing it. The engine is a 355 with LE2 heads and 228/236 cam. I got a mail order tune done from pcmforless. It does smell like its running rich.

The fuel injectors are the ford red tops.

On a side note, Ive also been battling with idle issues, think I might need to do the tb drill mod.

What should I be looking at to try and figure this out?

Before you drill the TB... what TB and intake are you running...

And as for the fuel in the oil...could be as simple as the tune... I had the same issue with one of my tunes, easily resolved....

I would do a compression test to rule out the rings, its cheap and easy (some what). If everything checks out I would look in to getting a retune.

Its the stock manifold just opened up in the front for the 58 mm throttle body, and its a professional products tb.

I'll take a look at the compression just to rule out some possibilities, its a pita getting to some of the spark plugs though haha

Could be an injector or injectors leaking. You also want to drill the iac circuit so it matches the stock throttle body, not the blades. You also need to isolate the iac air from plenum air on the back of the throttle body.

Do you know of any writeups for this? Or could you explain in a lil more detail?

When I opened up the throttle body bores on the intake side, I didn't cut very far into the existing iac hole. So it "should" be how it was stock.

i did have a problem with my car where the Fuel Pressure Regulator would stick wide open and It would blow right through the injectors.
