Default bolt on's and a 75 shot

hey guys, anyone here ever run a small shot of spray with bolt on's, and if so what times did you run? Also what the safest shot to run, yet the highest, i know a tune is a must when using nitrous, just curious what times people got with bolt on's and n20, thanks again!

Some have sprayed as low as 50. Some as high as 300.

I sprayed my bolton car probly 100 times on 150 shot. My best pass was 11.2s@120 mph had a 1.61 60ft. This was on the 7.5 rear with 3.42 gear. I could have easily ran high 10s with good rear and more gears.

You can spray 150 safely with 255 fuel pump, set of colder plugs and pullin somr timing. Mallory 685 box is very nice when sprayin. It has built in window switch, timing retard, and 2step.

I wouldnt even bother with a 75 shot at all, because after your first few pulls you will want to up the shot anyway lol, thats how it starts lol, just make sure your fuel setup /tune/plugs are good to go,imo just call nit outlet and they will set ya up,my buddys bolt on spray car put a hurting on my cam only car,i wanna say at the time he was running real low 11s,

A 75 shot is for making sure all the electrical stuff is working.

The fact that you think
i know a tune is a must when using nitrous
Says you have a ways to go before you do this though.

The only thing I would consider a tune for would be to move the rev limiter higher to make room for the spark based rev limiter in whatever ignition box you use. As said the Mallory 685 is a good choice, will do window switch, spark retard and rev limit all in one package.

Yes timing is generally pulled for nitrous but doing it in the tune would hurt NA performance when not using the bottle.
If you sprayed through the shifts with stock programming I could see maybe bumping the rev limiter but that is what the window switch is for, to cut the nitrous and let the tranny shift under NA power.
Stock rev limiter cuts fuel which is devastating on the bottle so you want an aftermarket box with soft touch limiter.

If your have a 255 pump and some good plugs you should be able to hit in the range 100-150. This would be depending on how much power you are already making and depending on what kind of intake is on the car. The Lt1 intake doesn't take a large amount of nitrous threw the next of the intake well. After 150-200 hp the air starts to get turbulent and doesn't distribute well.

The already torquey LT1 will make even more on nitrous We have a couple of LT1's surprising people with our plate systems and direct ports.

If you have any specific questions fell free to ask.

the way my car was setup back in the day(2000ish) a 75 shoot was knocking .80 off my ETs. The car was my daily at the time so I did not push it much more till I put the new engine in it in 2006 Around 2003 I parked the car for three years due to getting Married and Buying a house.

In 2006 Nitro Dave and a Money maker change the way we look at LT1 cars

See sig for results.......or google "Z28 vs Hyabusa"

Love it. We have had a couple of fast LTX cars. Lately there has been a rise in interest again for our LTX community.

I didn't assume it was.
My remark was more along the lines of being able to make pass after pass without messing with bottles!

awesome guys, yeah i had the chance to work on my 1991 camaro, was going to do a 5.3 swap yet i found my 1996 trans am that needed work for a grand. I put a new starter, and did a rear rebuild and i was ready to go. I dont think they guys knew what he was letting go for a thousand, but hey im happy. I really enjoy LT1 cars, IMHO they sound better than LS1 cars, and they are cheap!!!
