Looking for street legal long tubes
I live in PA and I'm wondering if there are any STREET LEGAL long tube headers that are available to bolt onto a 1997 Camaro SS m6.

by Street Legal do you mean will pass Smog? I think, by definition Long Tubes will fail visual because the Cats move or are removed all together. I have Kooks LTs with a Catted Ypipe but I don't have to have SMOG in FLA so by definition, mine are "legal"

there ya be, i ordered the same headers for my trans am, and the cool thing about the summit brand headers are the fact that they are pacesetters. They came to me in a pacesetter box, pacesetter literature lol they are pacesetters just relabeled as summit brand, and you will save about 50-60 bucks. Has the hookups for smog and engine management sensors, so these are about as smog legal as it gets, but here if the cats get moved its not supposed to pass, but i get away w/o having cats, and some places may not be to picky as long as you have 2 cats, hope this is what you were looking for.

Passed visual and sniffer test with mine, had to weld a fitting for the egr feed pipe onto the collector, and reconnect/rerout the air pump to get the cats to light off properly but.. Passed nonetheless

Agreed. When I owned a LS swap Lincoln, no "normal" shop would even look at it, and the damn thing had CATS! I talked to a few Ricers, found a place that did the "safety check" charged me 40 dollars to replace a "light bulb", all was well for 12 months.

Arround here you have to test your car at the government owned "clean air check" facility no matter what, even if you have one of they're certified mechanics do the work on your car you still have to run through the test at this facility
I looked everywhere and found nothing, which Really sucks, but that's just how it is.. Would be easier if I had a post 96 car and would only have to pass a visual and make sure I'm not throwing any codes.
But since I'm deemed to pass the sniffer every two years, mods have to stay mild

yeah i agree, your from PA?? what part if you get something like the pacesetter's that have the hook up's my garage passes me, and i dont have cats, they say as long as no check engine light comes on, im golden. Yet im sure if you look hard enough you can find a shop to do it.

I live in the Harrisburg area, and I'm considering just getting pacesetters with an ORY pipe and finding a shop that'll pass me, would be great if I'm in your area

Love living in a county that does not test for emissions. My emissions check is done through the mail.
Yep. VIN says it should have a certain type of engine. If it's not in there a legit shop will fail it regardless if it runs cleaner than the original.
