Default Trans mount problems/ driveline vibration

Well after I put the longtube headers and off road y pipe on my car has had horrible vibration through the drive line. When I put the new clutch I replaced a broken trans mount on the bottom of the transmission. When you are cruising at 35 in 4th gear and get on it a little the trans jumps and it is also is really bad when going 65 in 6th gear. Should I consider getting my driveshaft re balanced and replacing the ujoints along with all the trans mounts? Just trying to figure out why it vibrates like it does.

have you checked all the trans mounts yet?

LT1 driveshafts are not balanced from the factory.

U-joints are a maintenance item. you'll just have to check to see if you can wiggle the drive shaft, if it wiggles around a little you should probably replace them.

edit: the driveshaft and u-joints wouldn't cause the trans to move around like it does.

Default Have a good shop inspect it.

Try your favorite trans shop and let them take a look while the car is in the air on the lift. My Z was missing a trans mount bolt and the other one was loose - not long after my new trans install.

Good luck,
