Default Scored Cam?

Removed this cam from my lt1 and did a cam swap from what i see is that it looks like maybe the lifters were too tight at one point. Or would this be considered normal wear and tear? I do want to sell this cam, but dont want to sell crap..so please give me your .02 cents.

How long has that cam been installed?

If you can feel/grab any edges with your fingernail then the cam is toast. Honestly it looks like normal wear and tear as the stock 100k cam that came out of my car looked like that as well.

I would say about 20,000 miles, the main bearings on the cam are perfect only thing i see was where the lifters were

The Lifters are putting a ton of pressure on the lobes of the cam causing the marks. The marks are normal

I personally don't like the wear mark that's a straight line around the 2nd lobe from the right. If you have it apart check the roller on that lifter for defects.

This. The mirror finish is good, the scuff mark on that lobe is bad. I would definitely check that lifter out.

That's what I thought and I check all the lifters cleaned em out too I didn't see anything wrong with. Them that's why I'm thinking maybe te valves were too tight, it was on every lobe not just the ones you see

Take it to a machine shop and see what they say. They may be able to polish it out or let you know if its junk.
