Default Summit 52mm TB or stock ported 52mm TB?

Which is a better piece?
The Summit one is lightly used, can be had for $100.

Or a stock one, ported and powdercoated?

I am not sure who does the best job on the stock units so suggestions would be great!

The aftermarket all offer IAC hassles so for 52mm I would always suggest a reworked stocker, one vendor can even sometimes get 54mm out of them.

I wouldn't bother with aftermarket unless doing 58mm.

Why change it, if I could remember correctly back to my LT1 days the 48mm is just as good as a 52 or 58 unless your pushing some serious air...

both sides of that argument have been documented "in their favor".
That said it does warrant us asking him what is done to the car an a note about the A4 can be harmed y a larger TB if you don't compliment it with a tune or shift kit.

I bought a used 58mm BBK and dealt with the IAC hassles but I know I have seen 54mm advertized on ebay and that the vendor had a separate site too so some googling would turn it up.
