Default Need Advice Cammed LT1

so im thinking or trading my 98 z28 for a cammed 93 formula with full bolt ons, meeting the guy tomorrow. ive never driven a lt1 with a cam swap so i need to know what to look for or what to expect as far as idling and what not. all i know about the cam is that the lift is .485

If the cam in the 93 really is .485 lift I would be concerned the whole car is modded poorly.

At one point(decade ago) I used a ZZ4 cam in my LT1 and that was .474/.510 and honestly while I wouldn't say I regret that I wouldn't do it again given current options. LOTS of room to go bigger than that before you make any compromises.

You also realize your taking a step backwards by selling your LS1 for an LT1. Just do bolts-ons on your LS1 and youll make more power then a hotcam LT1.

Not true, an LT1 can easily put that down with a cam and boltons.

Definitely possible then...M6, 10 bolt and the right dyno and I wouldn't call him a liar just yet.

Keeping your car was a good choice.

Whether or not this guy truly made 365whp with a baby cam and bolt-ons, which I'm sure he didn't, it still wouldn't be worth giving up a perfectly good LS1.
