Default LT1 camaro Weight?

I tried googling it but got different answers.

What is the stock weight of an LT1 Camaro?

Vs the stock weight of an LS1 Camaro?

I heard with just the motor the LS1 is 300lbs lighter.

I've always been curious. Do T top cars have more chassis stiffening parts that cause them to weigh more than coupes like convertibles have?

in the gen 3 section there are block weights listed and the LS1 aluminum block is like 110lbs lighter than the gen 3 iron blocks which I would expect to be in the same ballpark as any other SBC weight despite the new architecture.

Basically what I am saying is 300lbs sounds like someone making up magical myths about the vast superiority of anything LS related

LS1 cars do have larger brakes, an additional cat (when compared to 93-95 cars anyway), but when you factor in leather seats, hardtop or ttop, manual or automatic, 16" or 17" rims, ground effects...the list goes on...the weight between any two 4th gens are going to be different from car to car. Long thought short, just because a car is an LS1 car, doesn't mean it's automatically lighter than every LT1 car.

My lt1 m6 hardtop car weighed in at 3352lbs with a full tank of gas and all fluids, bose stereo, minus the spare tire. I since installed a light weight battery, 15lbs vs 35lbs stock battery, lighter strano hollow sway bars, 5lbs lighter, rear seat delete 30lbs, ac delete 25lbs, air delete 10lbs and it feels alot lighter on her feet.

I believe C&D had it listed as 3450. Mine weighed 3500 on a four-point scale, but it has a 12-bolt and had the boxed Hotchkis LCA's.

I would really like to weigh mine and see how everything I've removed has helped. Still need to find some cloth seats to replace my leather ones lol

Take it to a place that sells rocks and mulch and what not. Most of them have a large scale that weighs the trailer, then weighs it again when it has the product on it. Find one and just ask if they will let you weigh your car. Hell, pay them $10 for their trouble and there ya go.

I've read of those taking their car to a roadside truck scale. Not sure how true that is.

Don't forget your local scap yards that buy junk cars & scrap metal. The ones around here will let you weigh your car for free. I'm sure if many people did it then they'd be annoyed, but it's a rarity for anyone to ask them. Their scales are usually fairly accurate, but to double check them there are usually more than one in every town so get a "second opinion" from the other's scales.

I've weighed my cars in the past on truck scales. They're accurate enough, and it's free. Most of them are single axle scales, so you'll have to get the front and rear weights then add them together.

Once I actually get it on the road I'll be able to do that but it's still taken apart in my driveway for now lol. Deleted a/c, air, abs, cruise control, front bumper, washer fluid tank, front sway bar, passenger and rear leather seats, carpet, and the spare tire off the top of my head. Would like to switch out to manual windows to replace my slow electric ones and a battery relocation to trunk sometime.

mine was 3386lbs full weight full tank of gas, then I removed the spare tire 38bls, air conditioning and lines 25lbs , air pump and lines 10lbs, egr 3lbs, hollow sway bars were installed 5lbs less, braille light weight 15lbs battery 20lbs less than stock and back seats which are 28lbs. I think im in the high 3200lbs. Ive shaved about 120lbs and I want to to a LS327 build and swap that with a lighter k member, that would be another 120lbs minimum.
