Default VATS in v6 to v8 swap

im about to get back on track with my project that's been sitting since '09. one thing that came to mind is: what will happen with the VATS? the car is originally a 3.4/A4 1994 Camaro. I am swapping in a '94 caprice lt1, 94 trans am harness and ECM, and '94 z28 4l60e. I have not touched the ignition cylinder and had no plans to do so but im worried the ecm will not "read" the correct resistance from the key. should I just go ahead and bypass it? is there anything else I should be aware of? I don't want any surprises. I hate surprises.

the PCM does not read the resistance. if you are still using the original key and VATS module then you should be fine.

you sure? I hear all the time how people get vats deleted from the ecm when they send it out for a tune.

The only part of VATS that can be tuned out is the fuel enable signal. Everything else is controlled by the BCM, or TDM in your case. Previous post is correct.

I've done this swap myself. You should have no issues at all with the vats and the swap. Previous posts are correct. Good luck finishing the project!
