Default Calling "Stood Up" Radiator People (Hoses)

I was working on mounting the radiator last night and started looking into radiator hoses. I figured I would ask on here before I start hacking up hoses.

What hoses did you guys use? Part #s would be a plus

Thanks

Made them. My radiator is more in the nose though.

I would go with aluminum pipe, with a bead rolled on the ends, along with some cut to fit sections for the sharp bends. Nice clamps and it would look pretty good.

HAHA I know, but I have a pin on hood now and I don't plan on showing the engine bay off anymore

Jeez man you have a lot going on in there Where the hell is the radiator though? Do you have it mounted flat in the nose?

I think I will weld on some AN fittings and go that route before piecing sections of pipes together, but that will add a lot to the cost and I'm running out of money to stick into this thing I just don't want a clamp coming loose and end up spraying coolant everywhere, I had that happen last year with one of the clamps for the heater hose. Sprayed coolant all over everything and I lost the alternator and power steering from the slipping belt, was not a fun ride home

Sort of mounted flat in the nose. In the 2nd picture, you can kind of see it down in the nose.

Here's a couple more.

I thought about doing a setup similar to yours but was worried that it wouldn't get enough airflow to cool it on the highway. Looks good

It gets just as much if not more airflow than the stock radiator. I'll snap a picture of it all together when I get a chance.

I used the flexible stainless hoses, looks great IMO. Got me pretty cheap off amazon. 1 48" kit did the whole thing. Don't mind how dirty the bay was.

^^^^Thanks a lot I thought about getting those but wasn't sure it they would fit on the water pump or the radiator since they are 4 different sizes now. Did you have to get anything special or is it just a universal kit with a bunch of different sized ends?

How did you get the stock hose over the radiator nipple? My stock hose is about 1/4" too small and I don't want to force it on that hard. But I'm down for some part numbers

It's a universal kit. The only one that was odd to fit was the hose coming off the thermostat. It took two adapters to get small enough.

Thanks, I looked a little last night and the kits I found were around $65 for a 48" hose with adapters. I'm going to try to make a stock style hose fit that way if something goes wrong I can always grab it at a parts store rather than having to order it online. I will definitely keep these in mind though
