Default maf sensor screen dented?

On my 95 z28 lt1 --- my maf sensor screen --- the screen is meshed alittle in spots like something scrapped against it ... my question is will this affect anything. car runs and drives good. --

The point of the screen is to straighten out the air flow and create uniform coverage over the sensor element. If it runs and drives fine, you probably have nothing to worry about.
