Default 94 LT1 in a 97 body. Any computer issues?

I have a 94 Firebird Formula A4 in perfect running condition. I also have a 97 Z28 with no motor but is set up with an M6. I'm planning on swapping the motors but I'm no sure if there will be any computer issue.

Just would have to swap a 96-97 timing cover on there for the crank sensor. other than that your good to go as far as i know.

You will also need to change the opti too I think if you need to go with the other timing cover since the 94 will have the spline drive opti so the newer timing cover os made for the one that looks like a 3leave clover.

He would have to swap the opti out for a vented one, aka do the conversion but it's not hard at all. and as i said swap the timing cover. probably not a bad idea to replace sensors while it's out too, they are cheap on amazon.

Also, don't forget the knock sensor is different from OBD I to OBD II (right side of the block above the starter ground, gray 1-wire connector).

You will also need to source the crank reluctor and the hub for the harmonic dampener (dampener hub is shorter to accomodate the crack reluctor).

The cam dowel pin, etc. would be the most painful part.

However... you have option 2:

You can also run the 94 engine unmodified with an OBD I computer... The OBD I PCM won't look for things that aren't there (Crank sensor). You can keep the knock sensor that's already in the 94 engine. Just find a PCM with stock tune or maybe alreay has skip shift disabled at least.
