Cam swap checklist
So my engine's getting rebuilt soon, and while I'm at it, I'll be upgrading to a CC503 cam. Here's the list of what I suppose I'll be needing:
First, here's the kit
http://www.ebay.com/itm/COMP-CAM-CHEVY-LT1-LT4-276-281-503-510-XTREME-ENERGY-HYD-ROLLER-CAMSHAFT-KIT-/171019532066?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27d18ef722&vxp=mtr
Other parts:
Pushrods (probably custom-length from Trend)
Rockers NSA 1.6 ratio 7/16 stud roller rockers (probably Comp Ultra Pro Mags, any other good brands out there so I can shop around?)
Valve seals
Impala head gaskets http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ed...t/model/impala
Timing chain http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results...umber=10128485
timing cover gasket http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...1955&ppt=C0026
new oil pan (mine's rather beat up and rusty) http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...eyword=oil+pan
Converter (looking at this one...thoughts? http://www.ebay.com/itm/GM-4L60E-LT-3400-Stall-Torque-Converter-9-5-NITROUS-/130887041689?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e7979c299&vxp=mtr)
trans cooler http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...26+accessories
trans temp gauge http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...on+temperature
LS1 steering shaft (craigslist or junkyard)
oil pump (should I get the whole pump, or just the white spring I've read about?)
street tune
engine bay paint
shop use
Should come out to about $3500. Any thoughts? Anything I missed?

I've heard that the RevMax converters are ok. Not on the same level as a Yank or TCI, like you said, but still not a terrible option. But then again, that's also part of why I posted it here, so somebody can add in their input. I just don't think I can stomach the $700+ for a Yank
