Default Holley 512-502 Regulator

Has anyone installed a 512-502 regulator on a LT1? The return line doesn't line up with the old bracket to hold it. I can move the line about a 1/4 up and down and side to side. I really don't want a fuel leak.... Any ideas?

WHY did you install it?

For the VAST majority of applications the stock regulator is the right choice.

The reason I am putting a new regulator is because I need to monitor/adjust my fuel pressure. I've built a 383 all forged lower end, AFR 195 heads, LT4 intake, Accell 40 lbs injectors, and PCM for less tune. I also have a RPM level 5 trans, 3000 stall, Kooks headers with a cat'd Y pipe. I will be pushing some street horsepower.

Believe that's the same Holley I have. I cut the stock bracket, extended it with some metal stock I had laying around, and rewelded it. Not sure what others end up doing.

You definitely want those lines to be secured, one way or another.

Put the stock regulator back on. Anyone who told you you needed an adjustable regulator for that build should be ignored, hell anyone that told you that was a good build should be ignored.

I am sure you think you have a stout build but I am sure a LOT of stock shortblock cars with ported stock heads will walk all over that magazine build and an adjustable regulator just gives you opportunity to screwup the tuning.

The fuel tuning needs to be done in the pcm.

3000 stall, accel injectors, 195 AFRs with a min chamber of 55cc... What's your compression?

Unless your 40s were maxed out, I think money would be better spent on bigger injectors rather than an adjustable fpr since you have a mail order tune just to take a little guesswork out since the tuner isn't right there with you.

30s would have been adequate for that motor.
