Default exhaust ?

I just bought a 95 T/A with a blown motor and the only motor i can find and afford is a Lt1 out of a police interceptor i know that the exhaust manifold are different but need to know if my y pipe will work on the iron head manifold thanks for any help

If you use the F-body manifolds it will bolt up, Make sure its not the small bore motor, the casting number should be 10125327.

You could swap the aluminum heads onto the iron headed caprice motor, itll save 100lbs and bump your compression back up, however they flow a little less. The caprice cam is also a little bit smaller than the LT1 cam, so you could swap that over too and youd be right back to where the T/A would have been stock.

id wait it out a bit... lt1s have been going up often by me. Just wait until another f bod lt1 goes up they're usually only about 400 bucks around me.... maybe 600 sometimes. Been a while since i looked though.

thanks for the tips guys ill have to check that casting number and i cant reuse the heads the one is cracked. i cant really wait for another motor the car is my daily so i need it on the asap but really appreciate the tips
