Kooks with Moroso pan

Kooks with Moroso pan Has anyone used the Kooks 6400RHS with a Moroso 20185 oil pan? The header is up against the oil level sensor. There isn't a gap between the two. I know as soon as I crank it up for the first time it will melt the sensor. Do I really need this sensor? I can't even plug it in.
