230/245.
Put 80K on it, love the power delivery.
I hated it at first then I realized the reason it idled so bad was a few vacuum leaks, and the reason I couldnt use the a/c at idle was a locking up compressor. new a/c system and fixed vacuum leaks and she idles and runs fine.
The only thing that wears on me is its loud as ****, even through a hooker cat back.
I like that the power comes on smooth and builds quick after like 3.5 or 4k. My buddy says its like vtec that actually does something.

GM847 with 3.73 gears. It sucked ***. 5th/6th gear were useless.
Now I have a 248/250 .650/.610 112lsa with a 396 and it can lug down to 1000rpm without issue. Drives better than stock.
I'm sure the 396 had a little bit to do with it.

Ive daily driven a GM 847 in a stock longbloclk manual car (234/242) and in an auto 383 car. Ive driven my current cam daily.
I never seen what peoples problem was with the GM 847, I tuned it myself and it ran great in the stock shortblock.

Not sure what the problem would be with the GM 847 cam, I sold a 355" short block I had driven every day for two years to a guy that put that cam in it, along with a set of Lloyd's heads in a '95 M6 Camaro. It made 455 rwhp & drove just fine.
Biggest cam I drove on the street was in my old 383", 256-260 " .050", on 106 centers. Idled at 1200. Kinda annoying to an old man. Got a bigger one when I quit driving it. Mileage sucked. LOL

I drove a GM 847 around on a stock bottom for years.
The set-up was stock longblock, GM 847 cam, k-motion k-800 springs (junk), Viginlante converter, Hooker LT headers, 3inch Y, Hooker cat-back and 3.73 gears.
Drank gas like it was free, but it ran very well.
