Need help repairing sliced heater hose line
As seen on shBox:

The piece of line I'm trying to repair is labelled as #3 in the diagram. In order to replace the broken section, I am trying to remove the entire coolant line. I can't get at the bolt (labelled as #2) to remove the line as my headers are in the way.
If there's a way to replace this section of hose without removing the entire line, I'll take that approach! I thought about getting a garden hose type repair kit, but that sounds like a temporary solution.
Cliffnotes: What is the easiest way to replace the broken section of rubber coolant line?
EDIT: This is the broken section in question.

When I first bought my Formula the guy couldn't figure out why it was running hot, his belt was cutting the heater hose, I just disconnected the old hose and ran a new one in its place.
