How close are your fuel lines to your y-pipe? Mine wants to basically sit up against it, and I don't feel very safe with that.

I remember mine being close, but no where near touching. I wrapped my fuel lines in that metallic anti-heat tape as well just for peace of mind.

I'm sure I'll get **** for this, but I swapped everything from my 94' z into my 99' roller (had the time and boredom, plus 99' body is in much better shape).

everything thing is a perfect fit except for the fuel lines.

They weren't touching on the z28 body at all, now they want to rest on the y-pipe after swapping.

It is a pacesetter ory.

could I cut and reroute them using a flaring tool and flare fittings safely?

Mine were close and not touching. that being said the connector melted. good excuse to reroute and add braided lines.

Is there a write up? Also, what were the costs involved?

The area the curves outwards from the tunnel is the part that is touching btw.
Maybe I just need to pull everything off and try to find the sweet spot, because there can't be enough difference in the bodies to cause this issue.

Mine are probably an inch or two away. Been that way for about 5 years. Never bothered me or gave me trouble.

Well, it looks like I'm going to have to cut the subframe and it will fit about an inch or 2 above the y. Did you wrap them or anything?

I'm thinking about just wrapping the y in that area, and then wrapping the lines with heat resistant tape/wrap

I would never do that to a fuel line. Replace it all or nothing. I'd try to take the lines off and rebend them if they are too close.

Same here, close but not touching. I just wrapped em up in some of that heat resistant wrap.

Here is what I'm talking about. I cut part of the subframe which made everything line up right, but moved the problem.

Here are some pics:

Is there a tool to bend them, or do I just go at it?

On my 96 the fuel lines were touching also.
I just pulled them down a bit. There like 1/4 inch away now. Not worried about it
