Default Stock torque arm install

What's the best way to get the differential and TQ arm to line up? My differential is to far up for the TQ arm holes to line up. Am I missing something simple? I have the clam shell loose so the TQ arm slides in and out easy at the trans. Thanks in advance fellas.

Install the differential bolts first and then do the front clamshell part. Maybe?

You need to put the rearend on jack stands, then using a jack, rotate the rearend so the yoke is level enough to attach the torque arm. If I'm understanding you, the rearend yoke is pointed to the stars not allowing enough angle to attach the torque arm.

^^^^Exactly. Do I put the jack stands under the axle housing on each side? Then raise the rear end under the transfer case with the jack?

Bingo...be sure the rear end has room to roll on the jack stands. Place the jack to the rear of the housing so it brings it down.
