Default 94 z28 fuel pressure numbers are weird pump failure

I just tested my cars fuel pressure due to finding out i had a dtc of lean/ rich conditions to the 02 sensors.
is my fuel pump starting to fail? also getting a fuel pump short in wiring code

at idle 35 psi
under rpm load 26-28

i know spec is suppose to be 42psi at idle correct?
thanks,

The proper way to test it is with the vacuum hose off the regulator. Should stay 45 to 47 psi under all conditions with the hose plugged. Falls below that and you have a bad pump or a filter (or fuel line) restriction.

i have not checked that yet, but it starves for fuel under 2,500 rpm and no leaking or plugged injectors checked that a few days ago. but will try to test it later for how u said to do it.

Grounding issues can hurt pump performance too.
