Default LS7 Lifter Noise

I listened to that 96capricemgr guy and got the aftermarket LS7 lifters and now at least one is making noise.

Suggestions on a new replacement set that is not $600 link bars?

I have some Bert Bower endorsed Comp R lifters if you're interested. Other than that there's no reason why ls7's should make any noise unless you really broke dicked yourself and bought used ones?

I had an issue with afew LS7 lifters awhile back. I replaced them with another set and havent had much issue. The next engine that I build, Ill probably just got with mechanical lifters.

Yea, seems like there is no mid priced set of replacements other than LS7s

I was around a few years before Bert. If the noise is truly coming from a lifter just replace them with stockers.

If I order "stock" replacements, won't I get LS7 or variants from GM?

The OP is trolling.............

For those not paying attention I tell folks LS7s are stock replacement AND if anything I have seen more failures with those than with original LT1 lifters.

I had no idea. Haven't paid attention to stock anything from GM since about 1998. I'm telling you, you need some lifters I have a perfectly good set of Comp R's. One more thing, you are the man crush, I am the village troll. Get it straight, boy!

How did u adj the lifters? By noise or by rolling the p-rod with your fingers feeling for zero lash? Try the rolling the p-rod method once - it takes nearly the same effort. What have u to lose?

Just as long as you didn't do it with the engine running it's all good in the hood.
