Default It finally happened....

Finally Leaving the LTx base engine behind on one of our 95 Z28s.

The last year has been hell with my wife's car. No matter what parts we put on it they seem to fail.

Then Saturday this happened...

It was the final straw. the rest happened fast. I was fairly pissed. Jimmy and I talked about a 4 bolt block I have and a 396 Crank and rods we would just need pistons and slap the LT4 ARF 210s on it that were on the 383....But I decided that would be another waste of money.

I have a 5.3 and a 200K mile LS1 i could put in it with some LS6 heads......But again seemed like a waste of time.

We had a truck with a SDPC Forged 402 we were getting ready to take back to a customer to part out. After an hour we had made a deal on the engine to go in the wifes car. Long block.

and then this happened

So now it is just a matter of selling off what it not being used any more and acquiring a few more parts for the swap.

Any one need a 383 LOL!

BTW!

I have not given up on the LTx N2O record. Just the crap that holds us back

Tell me more about the 396 rods, AFR 210's, and even the 383 short block you might have for sale? Thanks!

It is funny how things like lifters are always some of the fastest things to sell in an engine. I went 8s in factory hydraulic lifters.

Ewww gross!

Lol even with how cheap LS cars are now, against my better judgment I'm actually looking to add another LT1 to the stable as a DD. I've always wanted a Firehawk but they still go for too much money and are too nice for a beater...

Any more pics of the red car's ***? I always wanted to paint my spoiler lip black. I'm curious what's going on with the hatch and how you brought the black to the tail panel.

Did you see any gains with that modded intake? Selling fuel rails with crossover?

The biggest deal with the modded intake is gaining power over 6k

What did you do to it? And do you think it would be worth it on a 355 spinning to around 6900-7k rpm?
