My guess is a heat soaked ICM.

How come no one bothers to look at the Diagnostic Trouble Codes with a scanner. Somehow they think someone on the internet will know more than the On Board Diagnostics. Thats almost just as bad as buying new and swapping out parts which usually follows next.

Sorry to tell the truth here but if u cant locate a scanner the dealer will have one and will charge bout 100 bucks. Thats usually cheaper than swapping out the wrong parts from guessing at the problem.

If u plan to own your car for the long term then a scanner and an GM maintenance manual are essential.

Because if the computer was throwing a code then the OP probably would have said something. Hard start problems when warm like the ICM usually don't throw codes. Look up the ICM cooling mod, it is not uncommon for it to go bad being that it's an electronic part that's bolted directly to the cylinder head which gets heat cycled over and over.
