did you check fuel pressure when it was running or when it stalled? pump could be overheating after running for a while and shutting down. Also, you could have adequate pressure, but not enough volume, which could be consistent with the pump losing efficiency as it heats up.

It sounds to me like your avoiding the inevitable and just need to do the opti. At least remove and inspect. It sounds like all your stuff, coil, icm and opti are original, and if the coil and icm were beat up then your opti probably is too. When you do the opti take the new one apart and put loctite on everything.

I just went through a similar issue. Turned out my coolant temp sensor, the one in the water pump, went bad. I had a hard time starting it, and it would stall out after it warmed up for about five minutes. Hopefully yours is just as easy.

So it ended up being the opti this whole time, which is hilarious...anyway i got a replacement coming in, its got a good warranty which is all im worried about. Optis ive been previously putting in were genuine gm ones and they were **** too. The warranty on the one thats on right now has run out so im not looking to spend 600 on something thats gonna break. Like i said the one i got has a good warranty and its oem equivalent. ill give it a shot
